‘Punched in the face’ FBI profiler shares Nancy Guthrie’s fight: Blood splatter analysis
FBI profiler talks about how much 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie must have fought to have gotten punched in the face
Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of Savanah, the Today Show host just weighed in on what likely went down in the early hours of her abduction attempt, based off blood splatter analysis.
He weighed in on the “overwhelming force” he believes was used against the elderly mother in a conversation with NewsNation correspondent Brian Entin.
For those unversed, Nancy has been missing since the 31st of January, and was reported missing by February 1st, by her family. At the moment there is a standing reward of $1 million for anyone who has information leading to her recovery.
Since the case was first opened, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) have also joined the hunt for her recovery and based off a hair sample retrieved the blood that was earlier shown to be present on her porch has been directly tied to her.
What is also pertinent to mention is that separate to the blood splatter, her ring doorbell camera also caught the intense battle with her attacker.
In regards to what the blood splatter Entin says, “I believe that Nancy fought him, either inside the door or just outside, depending on where the first appearance of this blood splatter evidence is.”
He also admitted, “at that point, she was likely either blitzed with overwhelming force or punched in the face or the nose, and she began bleeding. She went down, either on her knees or just hunched over. And then coughed up this blood, which is why we see this pattern.”
