Princess Anne smiles in new photos as royals reel from Andrew scandal
The royal family on Monday released photos of event attended by the Princess Royal
The royal family on Monday shared photos of Princess Anne joining the 40th anniversary of the National Cadet of the Year competition, an event held by St John Ambulance.
" As St John Ambulance Youth Commandant-in-Chief, HRH met award winners from across four decades of the competition - from this year’s National Cadet of the Year, Emily England, to Simon Stockhill, who was the very first National Cadet of the Year in 1987." said a statement released Buckingham Palace.
The statement added, "Since the award was established, many former cadets have progressed to careers in healthcare, medicine and the emergency services."
The Princess Royal continues to perform royal duties to support her eldest brother, King Charles III, as the monarchy remains under intense media scrutiny of former Prince Andrew's links to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, the brother of King Charles and Princes Anne, was recently arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office.
