Jessie Buckley expressed her gratitude to the crew members of Hamnet during her Golden Globes acceptance speech.

For those unaware, the 36-year-old Irish actress and singer stood victorious by winning the 2026 Golden Globe Awards in the category of Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama for her portrayal of Agnes Shakespeare in Hamnet.

Hamnet, which was released on November 26, 2025, chronicles the family life of William Shakespeare and his wife Agnes Hathaway after the death of their 11-year-old son Hamnet.

During her winning speech after winning the accolade, Buckley took the opportunity to offer her thanks to one crew member, Tomasz Sternicki, for making "delicious" soup on set during production.

Referring to Sternicki, she said, "I'd really like to thank our [key] grip. During shooting, [he] started to disappear a little bit ... and I found him one day at the back of his truck, and he was chopping up potatoes, and onions, and meat. He brought his ginormous cast-iron pot over from Poland, and he was making soup, and this soup started turning up on set. It was delicious."

"Thanks for bringing your pot to set,” the I’m Thinking of Ending Things star appreciated his efforts with a big smile.

It is pertinent to mention that Buckley won the award by outperforming her fellow nominees, including Julia Roberts (After the Hunt), Jennifer Lawrence (Die My Love), Eva Victor (Sorry, Baby), Renate Reinsve (Sentimental Value), and Tessa Thompson (Hedda).
