'Harry Potter' star gets honest about new Hogwarts show
The star’s comments come as shooting on the 'Harry Potter' show is ongoing
As filming of the Harry Potter series is in works, Warwick Davis, who is reprising his character Professor Flitwick, in the upcoming show, shares insightful remarks about the series.
In an interview with Times Radio, the actor says the series is faithfully adapting the J.K. Rowling books, adding more depth and detail to the new show compared to the original films.
“I’m working on it at the moment, but I can’t really tell you anything other than we’re retelling those wonderful stories, but with more depth and detail than has been seen before. They’re very faithful adaptations of the book.”
Amid working on the show, Warwick acknowledges feeling unusual about shooting the series in the same studio where he once filmed years ago.
“We’re obviously telling the same story, so there are similar moments that we’re experiencing as actors on the set. But it’s weird being back in the same studios again, doing it all again, because Leavesden is where we shot the films," he notes.
It is worth noting that Warwick portrayed two characters in the Harry Potter films. First is Prof. Flitwich, and the second is goblin banker Griphook.
The Harry Potter series is expected to debut on HBO Max in 2026.
