Lindsay Mendez recalls receiving 'incredible' support while pregnant in 'Merrily We Roll Along'
Lindsay Mendez reflects on the support she received during pregnancy in 'Merrily We Roll Along'
Lindsay Mendez recently admitted to receiving extraordinary support while pregnant on the Broadway show Merrily We Roll Along.
The 42-year-old American actress and singer attended the red carpet premiere of the filmed capture of the 2023 Stephen Sondheim revival on Monday, December 1, 2025.
While conversing with PEOPLE magazine, Mendez said that she is still in awe that she performed in the play while expecting her daughter, Ruby Beck Brinson.
The mother of two daughters explained, "It was blind faith that I was going to be okay. It was insane, and I can't believe I got through it.”
She confessed, “I had amazing support here, I will say. As soon as I found out I was pregnant, I met with the producers and with my director, and they were just incredible and so accommodating, and whatever you want or need.”
"And I really wanted to finish the run with the boys. And so, we just changed costumes and changed some blocking, and I ran a little slower. And we made it work, and I made it to the end of the run. I'm proud of myself for doing that and grateful that I had a really healthy baby girl at the end of it,” the American Sports Story star shared.
For those unaware, Mendez shares her daughter Lucy with former husband Philip Wakefield, while she welcomed Ruby with her husband J. Alex Brinson in September 2024.
