Prince William calls Kate Middleton's THIS hobby crazy
Kate Middleton revealed the outdoor ritual that gave her peace during cancer recovery
Kate Middleton has an outdoors habit that her husband Prince William thinks is "crazy."
As the Princess of Wales found comfort in nature during her cancer treatment and recovery, she described it as her "sanctuary" during the most challenging period.
During her conversation on Mike Tindall’s podcast The Good, The Bad and The Rugby, Kate shared her love of wild swimming. She confessed that she seeks out cold water, regardless of freezing temperature and darkness.
Kate said, "I love swimming wherever I can." She added, "Cold swimming – the colder, the better. I absolutely love it. Slightly to the point where William’s [saying], ‘You’re crazy’ and it’s dark and it’s raining. I will go and seek out cold water."
Now, experts told OK! that Kate's bond with nature has become even more significant throughout her health journey.
"Nature is one of the greatest medicines, and Catherine has made no secret of how vital it has been in her own health journey and recovery," Katie Nicholl said.
Adding, "It’s a lovely message, because nature is so readily available, and it is very healing."
She went on to add that when Kate Middleton shared about her cancer diagnosis in 2024, she sat outside in the gardens at Windsor. "She has obviously sought solace in and gained a lot of comfort from nature," Katie noted.
