Katie Holmes taking emotional risk with Joshua Jackson romance: Source
Katie Holmes has previously called Joshua Jackson her 'first love'
Katie Holmes is reportedly keeping things casual when it comes to her rekindled connection with Joshua Jackson.
According to a new report from Star Magazine, the actress, who was previously married to Tom Cruise, is perfectly comfortable embracing a low-pressure romance with her former Dawson's Creek co-star.
“Katie is enjoying the ride,” a source told the outlet of the pair, who first met in the 1990s while starring on the beloved teen drama.
The insider added that spending time together has been a refreshing change for Holmes.
"She says spending time with Josh makes her feel alive again and she doesn't want to shut that down just because she can't possess him," the source shared.
However, the 46-year-old’s inner circle is said to have some reservations. Friends are reportedly "worried that she's going to get hurt" by the Doctor Odyssey alum, 47, citing his history of commitment issues.
“Katie does admit that she’s not immune to getting jealous,” the insider continued, noting that Jackson has been spotted with multiple women since his split from Jodie Turner-Smith earlier this year.
Nonetheless, the source reported that Holmes is seemingly willing to take the emotional risk.
As the source concluded, “But she says it’s worth pushing herself out of her comfort zone — that’s how happy Josh makes her.”
