Jennifer Lawrence recalls annoying Elizabeth Banks on 'Hunger Games'
Jennifer Lawrence looks back at how her one act 'annoyed' her co-star Elizabeth Banks on the 'Hunger Games' set
Jennifer Lawrence and Elizabeth Banks shared the screen on Hunger Games, where they had a warm on-screen bond.
But behind the scenes, she recalls that she had "annoyed" her co-star during the shooting of the second installment, Catching Fire.
However, it was not intentional, the actress emphasizes in the interview with her fellow actor Leonardo DiCaprio on Variety.
She explains her behaviour was due to a mistake she made before filming a scene. It was taking an Ambien, believing it was something else.
“I also once took an Ambien in the morning, thinking it was something else," she shares, adding, the result of this mishap: the hallucinations kicked in.
“It was a dance scene with Philip Seymour Hoffman in the second ‘Hunger Games’ movie. I was hallucinating. Elizabeth Banks got really annoyed with me," the Academy-winning actress reveals.
Ambien is a drug usually taken to treat insomnia. While the actress did not share if she has this condition, she does reveal the importance of sleep when working.
“You and I are both obsessive about sleep when we’re working, like counting the hours,” she tells Leo, who, like her, is punctual about his sleep hours while shooting.
She continues, “When I did ‘Red Sparrow,’ I took an Adderall instead of a sleeping pill, and then I didn’t sleep all night. I was taking hot showers in a panic. I am not somebody who can function without sleep."
"And then I had to say the phrase ‘Senate Armed Services Committee’ in a Russian accent. That sucked," the actress adds.
It is worth noting that Jennifer's anecdotes are part of who she is, which is not shying away from admitting her 'goof-ups' in public.
