New horrific details about Rob Reiner and his wife Michele’s murders have been revealed.
The couple were found dead with their throats slit after a heated argument with a family member got out of hand, according to sources who spoke to TMZ.
The family member in question is their son Nick, 32, per multiple sources who spoke to People magazine.
The couple’s daughter Romy, who lives across the street from them was the one who found them dead in their Los Angeles home. The Los Angeles Fire Department rushed to the Oscar-nominated director’s home at about 3.30pm on Sunday and found the couple dead.
She also told the police that a certain family member "should be a suspect" because they’re "dangerous," per TMZ.
Nick is currently being questioned by the police, per sources close to the Reiner family. The screenwriter has previously confessed to battling addictions and being in and out of rehabs for years, as well as being homeless in multiple states.
The murders are being treated as a double homicide and under investigation by LAPD’s Robbery Homicide Division.
Rob Reiner was known for his work on beloved films like Stand By Me, Spinal Tap, When Harry Met Sally, The Princess Bride, and A Few Good Men.
