Charlie Cox reveals who wife has 'replaced' him with

Charlie Cox is poking fun at his wife’s relationship with their dog.

Cox spoke on the topic while talking about his new film Merv, in which he plays co-owner of the titular dog. The romcom follows a separated couple whose dog gets depressed due to their separation.

"My wife and our dog have a very effed-up relationship," he remarked.

"They're way too close," Cox added of Samantha Thomas and their dog to People.

"Because I've been working a lot and I've been away, our dog has definitely replaced me in the family," he quipped.

Thomas’ close bond with the dog has developed quickly since the Daredevil star only got the pet after starring in Merv with a furry castmate.

"And a goldfish," he shared with a smile. "Don't forget the goldfish."

Merv also inspired Cox’s on-screen ex Zooey Deschanel to get two cats for her family.

"I don't have a goldfish, but my cats do love tuna," she remarked.

Cox and Thomas met while filming Marvel’s Daredevil, which premiered in 2018. They tied the knot the same year in September. They have since welcomed a son and a daughter.

Meanwhile, Charlie Coz has returned as Matt Murdock/Daredevil in Daredevil: Born Again.
