Inside Billy Ray Cyrus' latest legal victory against Miley's fake mom
Billy Ray Cyrus has won a legal battle against a woman claiming to be Miley's mom
Billy Ray Cyrus has issued a firm response to a woman who claimed she was the biological mother of his daughter, Miley Cyrus.
According to Us Weekly, the country singer is now seeking thousands of dollars in legal fees after a judge dismissed the lawsuit filed against him earlier this year.
Cyrus has reportedly asked the court to order the plaintiff, Jayme Lee, to pay $7,564.13 to cover the costs he incurred while defending himself against her claims.
In the lawsuit, which was filed in May, Lee alleged that she was Miley's biological mother and claimed she had entered into an "agreement with [Billy Ray] regarding the adoption of the child."
She further asserted that the alleged agreement allowed her to choose the child's name and continue working as her nanny.
Lee also claimed that she handed the child over to Billy Ray, but alleged he later "subsequently took the child and wrongfully assumed the role of the child’s father without [Lee’s] consent."
Cyrus formally responded to the allegations on November 11, labeling the accusations "false and absurd."
The case was ultimately thrown out by a judge, prompting Cyrus to pursue reimbursement for his legal expenses.
