Jamie Lee Curtis is planning a "yummy" and "long" break from social media.
In a recent chat with E! News at the world debut of her new movie Ella McCay, in Los Angeles on December 9, the Oscar-winning actress revealed that this upcoming holiday season, she will let go of the internet.
“I am about to take a really long, yummy digital detox,” Curtis told the outlet. “I'm going to go digital detox and spend a little time without any internet or social media.”
The 67-year-old actress shared that she is “really thrilled” to visit countries like Denmark and Australia, as these countries have banned social media for children under 16.
“It's incredible that they're doing that,” she explained. “I support it 110 percent, so I need to practice what I preach.”
Sharing why she personally uses social media and the reason behind her digital detox, Curtis shared, “I use it solely for my work and for supporting other people's work. But I need to take a little pause. So, I'm letting go of that at the end of the year.”
“I scream when people succeed or have really positive things happen. People have worked hard at something, and then they get that opportunity, I will always scream for them," she added.
Ella McCay is all set to hit theaters on December 12.
