Daisy Fuentes has joined the voices supporting Bad Bunny’s upcoming Super Bowl Half Time performance.

Former MTV host Daisy thinks Bad Bunny’s success is an example of the reward of "authenticity."

"I was so happy for him," she told People. "He is the example of what can happen when you are truly authentically yourself."

She noted that the Puerto Rican superstar, whose selection has received backlash by some, including President Donald Trump, because he’s set to perform in Spanish, "has not adjusted who he is, how he sings, what he says, what he wants to do."

"He’s just being exactly who he is and how brilliant is that? Your authenticity is going to resonate with so many people. Whether you like his music or not, what he has done is admirable," she added.

Fuentes understands the Mia rapper’s position as she was one of the first Latina hosts on MTV in the early 2000s.

Born and raised in Cuba, the actress moved to America with her parents in her childhood.

"I just remember being quiet because I didn't speak a word of English. I was thrown into a Newark public school. The other kids who did speak Spanish didn't quite understand my Castilian accent," she recalled.

"I kind of learned to imitate what they were saying, and that's one of the reasons why when I auditioned for MTV in Spanish, I was able to have such a neutral Spanish accent," she added.

Bad Bunny is set to headline Super Bowl LX 2026. Others set to perform include  Charlie Puth, Brandi Carlile and Coco Jones.
