Gigi Hadid, mom Yolanda fears the worst amid Bella's declining health

Gigi Hadid and her mother, Yolanda Hadid, are reportedly getting prepared to step in to keep Bella Hadid away from work in the wake of her ‘energy-sapping illness.’

For those unaware, the 29-year-old American supermodel has been battling with Lyme disease since 2012 along with her brother and mother. She has been vocal about her journey on Instagram, as she stays on and off in hospitals to get IV treatments.

According to Cleveland Clinic, “Lyme disease can develop when an infected tick bites you. The infection can cause a range of symptoms, like a bullseye rash, joint pain and nerve issues. Antibiotics treat Lyme disease. For some people, symptoms linger even after treatment.”

Radar Online reported that after her extended hospital stay in September of this year, Bella got back to work even though she is not fully healthy and her loved ones, including her mother Yolanda and elder sister Gigi, are all set to step in to slow her down before she collapses.

On October 15, 2025, the Fyre Fraud star closed out the star-studded Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in New York; however, her unsteady walk worried her inner circle, as she was visibly struggling to carry the heavy angel wings on her very thin shoulders.

The insider told the outlet, "Bella was very obviously struggling on the runway when she walked the fashion show. The wings she was wearing were 50 pounds and her strength right now is just not good – and at one point it looked like she might topple over.”

"A lot of people were urging her to back out of the show, she's just been so ill, but she refused. She has such a strong work ethic and didn't want to go back on her commitment.”

“She was very excited and honored to be a part of the show and to be chosen to wear the iconic wings,” the source stated.
