Tessa Thompson gets honest about Valkyrie's return in MCU
Tessa Thompson played Asgardian warrior Valkyrie in MCU
Tessa Thompson is considering reprising her role in future MCU movies.
While promoting her new film Hedda, the actress was asked, "What is Valkyrie's future in the MCU?"
Tessa said, "Call Kevin Feige," regarding the return of the Asgardian warrior. The character appeared in MCU’s Thor: Ragnarok and Thor: Love and Thunder, Avengers: Endgame and The Marvels.
"I really like playing the character, and I like her," she said, adding, "what's so fun about those films and why there is still an audience appetite is the combination of characters, and how they change in relation to each other. So there's tons of things I love about Valkyrie, but it's about Valkyrie in relation to who."
One aspect of a return to Marvel that excites her is "getting to play with my friend Pedro Pascal," who has joined the MCU as Reed Richards in Fantastic Four: First Steps.
"It's real playtime, and exploring that with people you admire," Tessa said, adding, "You stretch different muscles, it's really fun."
The actress mentioned that she enjoyed seeing Natalie Portman and Christian Bale in Thor: Love and Thunder.
"I love watching actors, I love seeing people work... under different circumstances. It's a fun playground," she shared.
Alongside Tessa Thompson, Nia DaCosta’s Hedda also stars Imogen Poots, Nina Hoss, and Tom Bateman.
