The King's Foundation on Wednesday issued a statement after it was reported by the British media that the monarch will feature on BBC Radio 4’s This Natural Life Christmas Special, recorded at Dumfries House.
Sharing multiple photos of King Charles III, the organization founded by him said, "This special festive episode will feature His Majesty reflecting on his love of the natural world, recorded in the beautiful surroundings of the arboretum at Dumfries House, which he saved for the nation in 2007 and has since been transformed by The King’s Foundation into an asset for the local community."
The statement said, "The King will speak to presenter Martha Kearney about The King’s Foundation’s work teaching rural skills to the next generation, the natural environment at Dumfries House, as well as the art of topiary and the joy of a pair of secateurs."
The organization asked people to "Tune in to This Natural Life on BBC Radio 4 on Tuesday 23 December at 12 noon."
It said the episode will be repeated on Christmas Day.
Saved from dispersal in 2007 by a consortium led by Charles, Dumfries House now functions as a visitor attraction, an educational hub, and a venue for events.
The property is set on a 2,000-acre estate that is open to the public for free exploration, while tours of the house itself require a ticket.
