Meryl Streep and Martin Short seemed to not be acting in their show, Only Murders In the Building, when they fell in love, and there’s plenty pf evidence to support that.
The 76-year-old actress and her rumoured boyfriend, 75, were seen supporting their friend, Tom Hanks, at the opening of his play, This World of Tomorrow.
The duo was pictured together at The Griffin Theatre in New York City, in coordinating black outfits.
Streep and Short were later seen interacting with Hanks’ family, including wife Rita Wilson and their son Chet Hanks, and their friend and co-star, Steve Martin and Martin’s wife, Anne Stringfield.
The rumoured couple has fans rooting for them since they first ignited romance speculations a year ago. Although the comedian shut down the rumours, the fan-theories continued and are believed to be true despite no official confirmation.
On the other hand, Short and Streep continue to heap praises on each other, which makes the speculations grow stronger.
Short described working with the Devil Wears Prada actress as “one of the great thrills of my life.”
