Katy Perry’s new beau, Justin Trudeau, walked into her life at a crucial time as she was focused on her single life after ending a long-term relationship with now-ex-fiancé, Orlando Bloom.

The former prime minister, 53, proved his love for the pop star, 41, through “big efforts” and she made space for love in her life again.

The couple, who recently officially confirmed their romance have been meeting frequently despite the ET hitmaker travelling for her Lifetimes tour, and an insider shared that their relationship has turned really special for both.

Speaking about Perry and Trudeau, the insider told People Magazine, "Justin keeps making a big effort to see her and she's excited about it," adding that the Teenage Dream songstress "has a lot of fun with him."

They noted that Perry’s relationship with the politician is “exactly what she needs right now."

Trudeau and the Dark Horse singer made their first official appearance as a couple for Perry’s birthday at a cabaret show at Crazy Horse Paris.

Days later, during her Prague show, Perry alluded to her love life by sharing that she is “dating someone else” when a fan asked for her hand in marriage.
