Eddie Murphy looked back on an alleged surprising and outrageous confession about Russian actor, Yul Brynner.
According to the comedian, during his 21st birthday The King and I actor made an amorous proposition to him.
"My 21st birthday party I had at Studio 54," Murphy explained in his documentary, Being Eddie. "Yul Brynner, from The Ten Commandments, he was with his wife, and he was like, ‘How would you like to go back to my apartment with my wife and I and party?’ And I was like, ‘Nah, I’m cool.'"
During that time Brynner was recently divorced from his third wife and dating Kathy Lee, whom he married the following year.
“I realized as I got older,” Murphy continued, “I was like, ‘Party? He wanted to…’ His wife was smiling. I was like, ‘Did he want me to go f–k his wife?'"
"When I got older I thought back on it and was like…” Murphy said as he shook his head.
The 64-year-old star joked, that looking back, he almost wishes he had accepted the invitation because it would have made a different mush wilder story.
He imagined the explicit scenario with Brynner’s wife while actor went on referring to Brynner’s iconic The King and I line, "Et cetera, et cetera, et cetera."
It is to mention that Murphy’s claim is an alleged one since Brynner died in 1985 at 65, which makes his version of story incomplete.
His documentary, Being Eddie, follows a comprehensive look at Murphy’s life and career. It is now streaming on Netflix.
