Travis Kelce lands in criticism after earning new career milestone
Travis Kelce’s hot temper sparks controversy on social media
Travis Kelce’s latest NFL game against the Denver Broncos turned on its head after he set a new record for the highest touchdown score.
The 36-year-old star athlete appeared to get into a heated exchange with the cornerback Ja’Quan McMillian, from the opposing team, who rolled over Kelce’s head and gave him a shove.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end got visibly angry with the move and banged helmets with McMillian, who is comparatively shorter in height.
The scuffle between Kelce, 6’5, and the Broncos player, 5’10’, caught fire on social media, and critics started slamming the New Heights podcast host for his “anger issues.”
“Travis Kelce loves getting into the faces of guys way smaller than him,” one X user wrote, alongside the duo’s video from the game.
While someone quipped, “McMillian’s small a-- had to tippy toe to talk to Kelce dawg.”
A third chimed in, “I have been saying this man has anger issues since the Super Bowl against the 49ers when he got in Coach Reid’s face,” referring to Kelce’s other heated moment with Chiefs coach Andy Reid.
The Super Bowl champion was seemingly not in the best mood after the game, as he refused to talk to the media as well.
“If you’re going to ask me about the record, I could care less about that right now,” Kelce told the press, shutting down any chance of conversation.
