Billy Bob Thornton, known for his role in Landman, recalled the time he first met his long-time friend and co-star Demi Moore.

The two stars, who first worked together in 1993 film Indecent Proposal, started knowing each other over the years through Thornton's collaborations with Demi's then-husband, Bruce Willis.

During the season two premiere of Landman in New York City, Thornton in conversation with People magazine shared what it was like working with the Oscar nominee.

"I love that girl. She's beautiful and amazing and so talented," he said. "And I'm blessed to be with all these people in this show, frankly."

He continued, "Over the years, you just become friends, and you know, to be able to see her on a daily basis has been wonderful."

Sharing how their bond strengthen through the years, the Sling Blade actor added, "Demi and I have known each other for a long time, actually for 35 years. But I got to know her very well over the three movies I did with Bruce, her ex-husband."

Thornton and Willis’ first film together was Armageddon in 1998. The duo has also starred in Bandits (2001) and The Astronaut Farmer (2006).

In Landmine, Thornton plays Tommy Norris, operations VP for M-Tex Oil, meanwhile, Moore plays Cami Miller, the widowed wife of oil tycoon Monty Miller.

The series follows Tommy a tough Landman navigating big-oil boardrooms. In midst of chaos, Cami steps in as a powerful, fighting to control her late husband’s M-TEX empire.

The Landmine season two was premiered on November 16, 2025.
