In season two, Mel Owens, a 66-year-old man, who is a former NFL linebacker and lawyer, is set to date and find love from one of the 23 women.

The show which started on September 24 concluded on November 1, with Owens announcing with who he fell in love with from the final two women.

Mel proposed to Peg and then the night before Peg met Mel's sons, Cindy abruptly left the show during her last date with Mel.

"I just wasn't prepared to commit to a proposal," Mel told Peg.

Peg admitted, "With Cindy leaving, there is a little bit of a concern. I'm nervous about what he's looking for."

Next they met on the beach of a small island, with a golden rose sitting on a table between them.

There they confessed their feelings to each other, with Mel proposing to her with a diamond ring on the finale. Although they are not married or engaged.
