Kerry Katona calls Holly Willoughby boring choice to host 'Strictly'
Kerry Katona calls for fresh faces to host 'Strictly'
Kerry Katona has shared her pick for who should host Strictly Come Dancing after Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman quit the hit BBC show last month.
The former Atomic Kitten singer, 45, did not hold back, risking a feud with Holly Willoughby by slamming the presenter, who is the hot favourite to take over hosing duties.
Kerry claimed that ITV star Holly would be boring and the opportunity should be given to others.
Writing in her New! column, Kerry said:' So, Holly Willoughby is a hot favourite to take over from Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman on Strictly. Good grief, give someone else a chance!
'Holly's a veteran presenter but for me, it's just the same old people in everything all the time.
'Saying that, and I am contradicting myself here, Davina McCall would be really good or Amanda Holden. I'd love to see Amanda do it, she's so funny and down to earth. Holly would be great but it's just like, really, again!'
This is not the first time Kerry has taken a swipe at Holly. When Holly departed This Morning back in 2023, Kerry said she 'wasn't surprised' by her decision to quit the show.
For context, Holly left the show in October 2023 after 14 years when she learned of a terrifying plot to kidnap, rape and murder her by former security guard Gavin Plumb.
