The 'Suits' alum is set to appear in a new movie, 'Close Personal Friends'

As Meghan Markle makes her return to acting after almost a decade, Prince Harry is still trying to recover from her last role as Rachel Zane in Suits.

In his 2023 memoir Spare, the Duke of Sussex admitted he felt so “miserable” after watching Meghan’s intimate scene on Suits that he wanted to give himself “electric shock” therapy to erase it from his memory.

“I’d witnessed her [Meghan] and a castmate mauling each other in some sort of office or conference room,” Harry, 41, wrote. “I didn’t need to see such things live.”

Before joining the royal family, the Duchess of Sussex starred as Rachel Zane in the hit legal drama from 2011 to 2018, where she played the love interest of Mike Ross, portrayed by Patrick J. Adams.

At the time, Meghan herself seemed lighthearted about the show’s romantic scenes. In a 2015 interview with Yahoo, she laughed off questions about working with an attractive cast, saying, “I mean, how do you even answer that? No. Absolutely not. It’s one of the job perks, right?”

However, Meghan exited the show (and ultimately Hollywood) before her wedding to Prince Harry, the youngest son of King Charles III, after two years of dating.

Now, the Duke may soon have to brace himself again — Meghan is back to acting.

Now mom to Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, the 44-year-old will appear in Close Personal Friends, an upcoming Amazon MGM comedy about a couple who befriend a famous pair in Santa Barbara.

The film, starring Brie Larson, Lily Collins, Jack Quaid, and Henry Golding, marks Meghan’s first on-screen role since stepping away from royal life in 2018.
