Billie Eilish expresses gratitude over major music milestone
Billie Eilish earns massive recognition for her single 'Wildflower' produced by brother Finneas
Billie Eilish is feeling grateful as her streak of success continues with Wildflower.
The song from her third studio album Hit Me Hard and Soft released in 2024 has earned her two Grammy nominations.
Shortly after nominations for the 68th Grammy Awards were unveiled on Friday, November 7, the Lovely hitmaker took to her Instagram to celebrate the new achievement.
"Song of the year & record of the year for WILDFLOWER [series of crying emoji] thank you @recordingacademy feeling so grateful :’)," she captioned the social media post.
A blue-hued image of her standing on stage with arms outstretched, taking in the packed audience, was added to the post, over which the major categories she will be competing in were mentioned.
Her supporters quickly flooded the comments section, congratulating her and wishing her luck in winning the coveted titles at the upcoming ceremony scheduled to take place in February 2026.
For the unversed, Wildflower was written by the 23-year-old songstress herself along with her elder brother Finneas Baird O'Connell, also known mononymously by his first name.
The 28-year-old American singer-songwriter and musician, meanwhile, produced the song.
The folk-pop track, which revolves around the themes of guilt, anxiety, insecurity and the feeling of denial, has accumulated over 1.64 billion streams on Spotify alone and more than 2.3 billion streams across all platforms
