Palace shares special update as King strengthens Prince George’s position
Prince George receives honour from King Charles after making key debut
King Charles and Queen Camilla were joined by a very special member of the royal family for the special evening at Royal Albert Hall as they marked the events for Remembrance Day.
While Prince William was absent during the important calendar event for the royals, Prince George, the second in line to the throne, accompanied his mother Princess of Wales for the poignant event.
The 12-year-old, who made his debut at the ceremony to honour the British and Commonwealth Armed Forces, marked a significant chapter as a king-in-training.
Following his appearance, Kensington Palace, jointly with the King’s Office, shared an update of the important event. A statement was shared alongside some key moments from the ceremony.
“A special evening at The Royal Albert Hall for this year’s Fesitval of Remembrance, honouring the service of, and the sacrifices made by the British and Commonwealth Armed Forces community,” while The Royal British Legion was also given a nod.
The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were also in attendance the ceremony at Albert Hall.
According to royal tradition, Prince George now experiences a stricter royal protocol since now he is slowly eased into the life of service to the monarchy. The Buckingham Palace had also earlier acknowledged the significant milestone of the young prince which is a great honour from the king.
It signifies that the King is looking forward and focussed on showing who the future of the monarchy is, especially after closing a dreadful chapter of humiliating scandals and controversy with his brother Andrew.
