Prince William makes grand entrance at Earthshot Impact Assembly in Rio
Prince William joins CNN’s Christiane Amanpour for Earthshot Fireside Chat
Prince William certainly knows how to make an entrance.
Ditching the usual motorcade for something far more on-brand, the future King arrived at the Earthshot Prize Impact Assembly aboard a sleek Earthshot branded tram, gliding through the lively streets of Rio de Janeiro like a man on a mission to save the planet.
His journey ended fittingly on “Earthshot Boulevard,” a street in the city’s port area renamed especially for the occasion.
Stepping off alongside Rio’s deputy mayor, Eduardo Cavaliere, William was greeted by CEO Jason Knauf before heading into Pier 3 the vibrant venue for the day’s assembly.
The event brought together CEOs, government leaders, Indigenous representatives, youth advocates, and Earthshot Finalists, all gathered to celebrate a year of bold ideas and impactful innovation.
Inside, stories of climate action, environmental breakthroughs, and major investments took center stage proof that the Earthshot network’s vision is very much alive and thriving.
William later joined CNN’s Christiane Amanpour for a fireside chat, where he reflected on the power of collaboration and the need to turn ambition into action.
Brazilian powerhouse Anitta is turning up the heat ahead of tonight’s ceremony and she’s calling on fans to help make it go viral worldwide.
