Simu Liu shares his experience of working with star-studded cast on set of ‘Doomsday’
Simu Liu, who is set to reprise his role as Shang-Chi in Avengers: Doomsday, revealed what the film has in store for the fans.
The highly-anticipated movie is going to be a mega event with almost all the superheroes from across the Marvel Cinematic Universe to appear on one screen.
In an interview with Screen Rant, the Barbie star opened up about his experience of reuniting with the star studded cast, "I mean, there are just so many actors in it, and getting to work with those people as peers is really incredible because I grew up watching so many of them."
Sharing a glimpse at what movie has to offer, the Chinese – Canadian actor said, "It feels, in a lot of ways, like a love letter to the entire genre of superhero movies. And I think there’s something really fun about that."
Reflecting on the deeper meaning of the film, Liu added that it is "for all the misfits and the weirdos and the underdogs that grew up reading comic books and feeling like there was hope for them somehow – that it didn’t matter if they didn't fit in – I think there’s just always a special place in my heart for that entire genre."
'Avengers: Doomsday'
Although the plot is officially under wraps, the film will see the Avengers, Wakandans, Fantastic Four, Thunderbolts and X-Men all fight against Doctor Doom.
The cast includes, Robert Downey Jr. (Doctor Doom), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Anthony Mackie (Captain America), Vanessa Kirby (Susan Storm), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man) and Florence Pugh (Yelena), among many others.

Avengers: Doomsday is slated for release on December 18, 2026.
