Dani Dyer opens up about miscarriage before son Santi

Dani Dyer has opened up about her painful miscarriage before falling pregnant with her son, Santi. 

The Love Island star, 29, who shot to fame in 2018 alongside then boyfriend Jack Fincham, spoke about his miscarriage on Jamie Laing's Great Company podcast.

After winning the ITV show and later splitting from Jack, Dani rekindled her relationship with Sammy Kimmence, whom she had dated before appearing on Love Island.

For context, Dani welcomed son Santiago, now four, in January 2021 and split from Sammy in July that year after he was sentenced to three years in jail for a £34,000 scam.

Revealing that she suffered a miscarriage before having Santi, Dani shared: 'Just before Santi, I got pregnant, and then that didn't work out. Becuase it didn't work out, I wanted a baby, so I wasn't careful. 

'I was like I am having a baby, and my mum and dad were fuming at the time. So I was nervous to tell my mum, and they were happy with me for the baby, because they knew what I want through.

'So they were happy for me for that, but they knew that relationship was never going to work. I have said sorry to them so many times for what I have put them through. And I get what they were saying now. 

'Yeah it was a miscarriage, but it was very early. When I got pregnant again, I had so many scans, I was there all the time.' 

Speaking on Santi's father, she added: 'The one boyfriend that was just hell. Before Love Island, he never wanted to settle down with me. He was a massive player. 

'I don't regret anything.. having Santi changed me as a person, so I am so glad I had my Sant. I think I had to go through a tricky relationship to get my little boy and to change me as a person, to get to where I am now.'

Dani has been in a relationship with Jarrod Bowen since 2021, and together they share twin daughters, Summer and Star.
