Sydney Sweeney gushes over filming ‘Euphoria’ season 3

Sydney Sweeney is just days away from wrapping up work on Euphoria Season 3, and she’s feeling emotional about it.

“I wrap Euphoria in two days,” the actress told Variety’s Marc Malkin while walking the red carpet at the AFI Fest premiere of her new drama Christy on Saturday night in Los Angeles.

Returning to the HBO hit after three years away has been a nostalgic experience for Sweeney, who joined the show at just 20 years old. 

“It’s mostly the same crew, so it feels like I’m going home to family,” she shared.

“I’ve grown up with them. I was 20 when I did the pilot, so being able to see a lot of the same people, it feels very comforting.”

While HBO previously confirmed that Season 3 will be the final chapter of Euphoria, Sweeney remained tight-lipped about whether there’s a chance of a fourth. 

“I cannot confirm any information,” she said, keeping fans guessing about the show’s future.

Her co-star Jacob Elordi, who plays Nate Jacobs, recently hinted at what to expect from the new season. 

Speaking to Variety at the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles, Elordi described the experience as “incredibly liberating,” saying, “I got to play something so sort of far out from what I’ve done before.” 

He added that series creator Sam Levinson “constructed something that’s incredibly clever and cinematic. I think people are really going to like it.”

Elordi also admitted that the cast often films separate storylines and doesn’t always know what the others are doing. 

“Everybody shoots at different storylines,” he said. 

“I don’t know what anyone else is doing. I had a really singular storyline. You don’t know what the other storylines are. It’s like FBI files.”

Sweeney echoed that sentiment, saying she’s eager to experience the show the same way as fans this time. “I feel like I’m going to get to watch it with everyone else,” she said.

With both stars teasing what’s to come, anticipation is already building for Euphoria’s much-awaited third and final season.
