Jacob Elordi’s ‘Frankenstein’ creature look left fans in frenzy
Jacob Elordi stars alongside Mia Goth and Oscar Isaac in highly anticipated ‘Frankenstein’ film
Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein streaming platform has dropped the first look of Jacob Elordi as The Creature.
Shared by Netflix on social media, photo revealed Elordi’s face covered with prosthetics, scars, cuts and stitches while his eyes gave an eerie haunting look.
Soon after the image went viral, fans swoon over the otherworldly look that Elordi pulled so effortlessly.
Most fans on X (formerly Twitter) called the look "poetic" for having a fine line between scary and captivating.
"The makeup and prosthetics are absolutely incredible! Jacob Elordi is going all-in on this role, and with del Toro directing, this is going to be a masterpiece of practical horror," wrote a fan, while praising the makeup team.
Another fan echoed the sentiment, saying, "WOW! That makeup and styling are incredible. Jacob Elordi looks genuinely unsettling as The Creature. Can't wait to see what Guillermo del Toro does with this."
"Elordi looks terrifying and beautiful — only Del Toro could make Frankenstein poetic," added a third user. While one more said, "Excellent make-up. He is both hideous but attractive, perfect for a gothic romance."
Jacob Elordi's transformation into The Creature
Previously, Elordi in conversation with Variety shared his 10-hour experience of transforming into The Creature.
Elordi said that he would arrive at the makeup trailer at 10 pm and sit in all night to transform himself into the monster, who is meant to be composed of different body parts.
"You throw time away when you make a film like this," Elordi said. "I stopped having a clock, and I would just wait till the SUV arrived."
