Charlie Puth excited to embrace fatherhood for the first time
American singer-songwriter shares his honest feelings on becoming a father during Jimmy Fallon Show
Charlie Puth has recently opened up about embracing fatherhood for the first time.
The Light Switch singer shares he and his wife Brooke Sansone are expecting their first baby during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on October 21.
When asked about Charlie’s new Changes music video, the musician replies, “We’re expecting a baby in March.”
“I’m gonna be a dad… I was told not to reveal the gender,” states We Don’t Talk Anymore singer.
Charlie tells Jimmy, “I hope baby likes music, because it’s the only thing I’m good at.”
Elsewhere on the show, the Dangerously singer opens up about his music plans at the time of baby.
“I feel like I’m gonna do what my mom did for me. My mom used to put the headphones, it was the 90s so the headphones were big, just put them on her tummy,” explains the 33-year-old.
Charlie mentions, “I listened to James Taylor, Luther Vandross and I feel like I got a wide array of music.”
“So, I’ll do the same thing, whether Brooke likes it or not,” adds the One Call Away crooner.
Meanwhile, this will be the first child for Charlie and Brooke, who started dating in 2022.
The baby will be delivered around the same time when his new album, Whatever's Clever, will be released on March 6.
