Dakota Johnson goes to extreme lengths for hair routine

Dakota Johnson is very serious about her hair, especially her signature bangs.

The Fifty Shades of Grey star opened up about some measures she takes to keep her locks in shape, revealing that they require constant maintenance and that she trims it herself.

"I've had bangs since I was a kid," she offered the insights in an interview published on Tuesday, Oct. 21, "I cut them myself when I was about four, and I absolutely loved them. I've had them my whole life, except for when I was about 10 to 14. I just feel like myself with bangs."

The Materialists actress also revealed the great lenghts she goes to in order to keep her bangs looking perfect which includes keeping a pair of scissors with her all the time.

"Would I be happy not to have to trim them all the time? 100 percent," she told Vogue Germany. "But I also always travel with scissors, and I love to drink a martini while trimming my own bangs."

Although the 36-year-old admitted that this combination has gone wrong in the past, she did cleared "not every time."

Further spilling the beans on her hair care routine The Social Network actress spilled the secret to her shiny dense hair that is she does nothing much to keep them the same.

"I don't use any styling products and let my hair air dry," she said, though she later added that she uses a serum.

"Right now, it’s still a little damp, but I don’t do anything to it. When I’m filming, it’s different, of course," Dakota revealed. 

Notably, only for public events or red carpet appearances does she work with a hairstylist to bring out her best looks.
