'Sheriff Country' creator teases 'major plot twists' after series premiere
'Sheriff Country' episode two is set to premiere on CBS on October 24
Sheriff Country featuring Morena Baccarin and Matt Lauria in the lead roles premiered on CBS this Friday.
On October 17, the first episode of the American police procedural drama showed how Mickey (played by Morena) grows increasingly worried about her daughter Skye (Amanda Arcuri), who continues to see her boyfriend despite his concerned past with drug addiction and a recent arrest for possession.
Although Skye had promised to distance herself from him, things take a dark turn when she comes home covered in blood after discovering Brandon’s lifeless body in his apartment.
As Edgewater’s sheriff, Mickey is forced to take her daughter to the station for processing, even as rumors swirl that Skye may have had a hand in Brandon’s murder.
Following the release of the premiere episode of Sheriff Country, creator Joan Rater revealed how the story will flow further and also teased the plot twists involved in the series.
She told US Weekly, “The writers have come up with a story that is so exciting. When they pitched us the final episode, [fellow executive producer] Tony [Phelan] and I were like dead on the ground.”
“We couldn’t believe it. So the mystery and what happens with the death of Brandon and Skye and her involvement will take us to places that are truly shocking. It will end on such a bang”, Rater continued.
On the other hand, creator Matt Lopez also spilled interesting beans about the show saying that there will be “continuing twists spinning out of it that will go deep into season.”
The next episode of Sheriff Country is slated to release on October 24.
