Josh Allen shares football plans after Hailee Steinfeld marriage
Josh Allen gushes over wife, actress Hailee Steinfeld, ‘undeniable rockstar’
Josh Allen says his most meaningful victory didn’t happen on the football field, it happened when he married Hailee Steinfeld, but that doesn't mean he is not going to be on the field more
The Buffalo Bills quarterback opened up about how his relationship with the actress has reshaped his outlook on life and helped him see himself beyond the game, and how the game is going to be a part of his life for some time.
In an interview with ESPN’s Marty Smith that aired Oct. 13, the 29-year-old NFL star reflected on what his marriage has taught him.
“That I am more than a football player,” Josh said.
“My whole dream as a kid has been to be in this position, and I've never thought of anything outside of that or beyond that.”
Josh and Hailee tied the knot in May after two years of dating, and for him, that moment marked a turning point.
Calling their wedding “the most important day” of his life, he described building a home with Hailee as his “most fulfilling” chapter yet.
“My wife is an unbelievable, undeniable rockstar, in her work, in her life as a person,” he shared proudly. “She’s everything I need in my life.”
Still, marriage hasn’t changed his drive to keep playing.
“I hope I still get to play this game for a very long time,” Josh said, making it clear that his passion for football remains strong even as his personal life has evolved.
Hailee, 28, feels the same sense of balance in their relationship.
Speaking to Variety earlier this month, the Pitch Perfect and Sinners actress shared how their marriage has encouraged her to slow down and focus on what matters most.
“What we do is so unpredictable, and his job is on such a strict schedule,” she explained. “So it’s actually a blessing—I try to organize my time so I can be where he is.”
For now, Hailee is taking a break from filming to spend time with her husband during the NFL season.
“This time of year, I get to hunker down, slow down, support him and live life,” she said. “When the offseason rolls around, it’s go-time for me.”
As Josh Allen continues leading the Bills through the 2025 regular season, it’s clear that his greatest success off the field is finding the kind of partnership that keeps him grounded, both in love and in life.
