Nano Banana image editing expands to AI mode, Google Lens: Here is how to use it
Nano Banana has now been integrated into Google Lens and AI mode within the Google search app
Nano Banana, Google’s powerful tool in the Gemini app has been integrated into the AI mode within the Google Search app, as well as Google Lens.
How do the new AI mode and Google Lens work
It starts with a new ‘plus’ icon in Search AI Mode in the bottom-left corner of the prompt box.
However, voice input and Lens are moved to the right .
The menu further lets you access the camera and create images with a banana emoji; on choosing the last option, the prompt hints changes to “Describe your image”.
It's your choice to generate entirely new ones or add an image to make edits.
Users can download and share the image just as they can with the Gemini app.
The Nano Banana integration in Google Lens is more prominent after adding search “Live”.
There is now a “ Create” tab option which is part of a small design that moves the text labels to below the icons so that more filters can appear side-by-side.
It prompts you to ‘Capture’ and ‘Share’ with the banana emoji appearing on the shutter button.
Comparable to other filters, the ‘Create’ tab defaults to the front-facing camera for a selfie, with a lens switcher available on the right side.
This week Google successfully brought AI Mode to 35 new languages and over 40 new countries to bring the total list to 200.
Nonetheless the integration of Nano Banana into Google Lens and AI Mode in Google Search symbolizes a major advancement in standardizing conversational image editing and generation.
