Taylor Swift details elaborate Travis Kelce proposal to Jimmy Fallon

Taylor Swift shared the sweet and surprising story of how Travis Kelce pulled off his surprise proposal, turning a regular day into something unforgettable.

During her latest appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, her first in nearly three years, the 14-time Grammy winnwe revealed what started as a seemingly normal day centered around a podcast they had been planning together evolved into a carefully orchestrated, romantic proposal.

"So basically, I think for Travis, the podcast was just sort of like a distraction sort of ruse to keep me not looking out the windows of the house," she told Jimmy Fallon. "It's like the drape is fully like just blackout drapes on every single window of the whole house."

She further revealed that the NFL star was acting nervous, which was unusual for him, and it tipped her off. She could tell something bigger was going on than just a podcast.

However, as they’d been talking about doing the podcast and announcing her album, so she assumed that's what making him anxious.

"He's like, 'my heart is racing. I just really want I know how much this means to you,'" the Gorgeous singer recalled. "I've never seen this dude nervous ever."

Later at one point, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end suggested they take a walk in the backyard with a glass of wine, something Swift, 35, says she’d "always" say yes to. As they stepped outside, everything suddenly made sense.

The Eras tour superstar realised the real reason for the blackout curtains and her lover's nervous energy is because he had transformed the backyard into a "secret garden" where he got down on one knee and proposed to her.

"It was the best possible case scenario,” She gushed of her boyfriend-turned finace's planning. Swift and Kelce got engaged in August.
