Cillian Murphy reaction to Taylor Swift’s engagement ring has fans rolling
Taylor Swift was joined by Cillian Murphy and few more guest at ‘The Graham Norton Show’
Cillian Murphy fans are buzzing over his reaction to Taylor Swift when she showed off her engagement ring during The Graham Norton.
Swift and Murphy had appeared on the programme to promote their latest work, alongside other guests. The singer was promoting her 12th studio album Life of a Showgirl and Murphy with his Netflix's film Steve.
They were joined by Domhnall Gleeson, Lewis Capaldi, Greta Lee and Jodie Turner-Smith.
During the show, the host congratulated Swift on her engagement with Travis Kelce.
"There's a lot to congratulate Taylor Swift about, but the one I feel I ought to congratulate you about is your new bit of finger jewellery," Norton said. Swift playfully replied, "The hardware upgrade?"
The Actually Romantic hitmaker then flaunt her diamond ring as the audience and fellow guests started applauding.
Lee leaned in for a closer look while Turner-Smith showered her with praises. In the meantime, the Oppenheimer star just politely smiled and clapped.
This is not the first time the Irish star has seemed to appear nonchalant and stoic. He has previously gone viral for his general disinterest in media chatter.
Hence his reaction once again caused a stir among fans on social media, with one saying, "Peak Cillian energy (detached, polite, and absolutely done)."
Another added, "He tried so hard to react [crying emoji]."
"He really is nonchalance final boss. The way he doesn’t have a closer peek when Taylor extends her hand. His body doesn't even move," one more user wrote.
Although many fans commented on his unconcerned behaviour, others saw his reaction in different light.
As one pointed out, "This is the first time I've ever seen this man show this much emotion I'm proud."
"He smiled and clapped omg," added one more.
Swift and Kelce announced their engagement on August 26 via Instagram. The Grammy winner wrote in her caption, "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married."
Life of a Showgirl is now available to stream, while Murphy's Steve has premiered on Netflix.
