Sarah Jessica Parker sparks buzz with Carrie Bradshaw comeback tease
Sarah Jessica Parker opens up about closing the chapter of 'And Just Like That...'
Sarah Jessica Parker gave her fans a reason to hope that Carrie Bradshaw might not be gone forever.
The actress, who turned 60 this year, hinted that her famous character from Sex and the City and its sequel And Just Like That, could return despite the series ending earlier this year after three seasons.
Appearing on CBS Mornings, Parker was asked about the decision to close the chapter on the sequel series.
She replied, “I mean, I'm not certain I understand what that decision means, actually. Because I could just be on hiatus, you know.”
The actress did not explain further but admitted that ending the show was “difficult decision” she made with showrunner Michael Patrick King.
Parker explained, “Michael and I talked a lot about it, and I think it's out of respect for this really singular professional experience that you have to consider what you want to do (and) have you done it."
"And sometimes it's best to gracefully walk away when things feel really right and energetic, versus squeezing and exploiting people's generosity and hospitality," she added.
He Blue Night actress was not the only one who left the door open, as executive producer Elisa Zuritsky told TVLine, “She's alive, so it could happen."
"Sarah Jessica Parker is Michael Patrick King's muse, and the reason he says, 'I've said goodbye before and I've come back', is because it's true.”
However, the last episode aired in August, where Parker admitted that her sadness, writing that Carrie Bradshaw “dominated my professional heartbeat for 27 years.”
Fans are now left wondering if Carrie truly got her last walk through New York, or if her story is only on pause.
