Keith Urban left alone as Maggie Baugh skips show amid cheating rumours
Maggie Baugh misses out on Keith Urban concert after Nicole Kidman split
Keith Urban played his first concert after the news of his and Nicole Kidman's split broke out, all by himself, while his guitarist, Maggie Baugh, was nowhere to be seen.
The 57-year-old country star was spotted without his wedding ring and appeared passionate during the show on Thursday, October 2, at Giant Centre, Hershey, Pennsylvania.
The Babygirl star and the Let It Roll singer’s split was confirmed on Monday, after which she filed for divorce and mentioned irreconcilable differences as the cause of ending their marriage.
However, social media users speculated a case of infidelity to be the cause of their split, and shared videos of Urban with his guitarist, Baugh.
Urban went viral on the internet after he changed the lyrics of the song, The Fighter, which was written for his estranged wife, and dedicated it to the guitarist.
While the original lyrics read, “When they’re tryna get to you, baby, I’ll be the fighter,” he sang, “When they’re tryna get to you, Maggie, I’ll be your guitar player.”
The lyrics swap seemed shocking to fans since the split news hadn’t broken out then, but it soon did.
Some social media sleuths also dubbed the moment awkward because of the age difference between the two musicians.
However, the guitarist’s dad shut down the rumours, clarifying that their relationship is totally professional.
