FIFA unveils official match ball ‘TRIONDA’ for 2026 World Cup
The ball’s unique design complements all three host countries
FIFA has unveiled the official match ball for World Cup 2026 scheduled to be co-hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada.
The official ball is named TRIONDA, a Spanish word meaning “Three Waves”.
FIFA says that the name celebrates the three hosts who, for the first time in history, are united to host the football tournament.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino said, “The Official Match Ball for the FIFA World Cup 26 is here and it's a beauty!”
He added, “I am happy and proud to present TRIONDA. Adidas have created another iconic FIFA World Cup ball, with the design embodying the unity and passion of next year's host nations Canada, Mexico, and the United States.”
Gianni continued, “I can't wait to see this beautiful ball hitting the back of the net. The countdown to the greatest FIFA World Cup ever is on – and the ball is rolling!”
The ball’s unique design complements all three host countries just like the three mascots unveiled earlier.
Millions of football fans are eagerly waiting for the tournament. 48 national teams will compete in 104 matches to claim the title of football champions for the next four years.
The tournament is scheduled from June 11 to July 19, 2026.
