Taylor Swift old collaborator Rodrigo Prieto shares key detail into 'TS12'
Taylor Swift surprises fans with Rodrigo Prieto feature on 'Life of a Showgirl'
Rodrigo Prieto, the man behind some of Taylor Swift’s beloved music videos, has delighted fans with a new update.
The Mexican cinematographer, 59, revealed that he has once again partnered with the pop superstar, 35, for the music video of her upcoming single, The Fate of Ophelia.
The award-winning filmmaker has worked with the Anti-Hero hitmaker on the music videos of The Man, Cardigan, Willow, and Fortnight before taking the camera for her upcoming release.
The Pedro Paramo director went viral on social media after a TikTok video of him sharing the news went viral.
Although Prieto admitted that “I can’t say much, actually — just that yes, I worked on the photography for her latest video,” he went on to praise Swift, saying, “She is a very talented, very talented, very entrepreneurial woman.”
The 14-time-Grammy winner only recently announced that her album will feature a single, along with her major announcement regarding the upcoming movie, Taylor Swift: The Official Release Party of a Showgirl.
The cinematographer’s announcement sent fans in a frenzy as they expressed their polarising opinions in the comments, with one writing, “Can’t wait for all of it!!!,” and another, “It’s going to be fantastic.”
While some were disappointed, and wished that her previous collaborator Joseph Kahn came back, as one wrote, “Please get Joseph Kahn back so that we can return to iconic Taylor Swift music videos! No more self directed mvs please!”
‘If its directed by taylor, its gonna be bad,” chimed in another.
While it has been confirmed that the music video is directed by the Eras Tour performer herself, making any judgement before the release is subject to change.
