Charlie Puth to have new ‘intimate’ shows in New York, Los Angeles
Charlie Puth announces new, limited residency shows on social media
Charlie Puth is bringing things back to where it all began with an intimate residency this fall.
On Tuesday, September 9, the Light Switch singer revealed that he will perform a special run of shows at the Blue Note Jazz Club in New York and Los Angeles.
The residency, titled Whatever’s Clever, promises to give fans a personal experience with Puth and his band.
“I’m so excited to announce the Whatever’s Clever! Residency at @bluenotenyc & @bluenotelosangeles,” the 33-year-old shared on Instagram.
“This is the most intimate way I could think of showing what I’ve been working on!!!”
In a video message to fans, Puth explained that the format is inspired by his early days.
“I started my career playing for a couple hundred people a night,” he said.
“And it’s been a while since I’ve done it, but I wanna do it again. It’s gonna be me and the band, and we’re gonna play a lot of music just like in the beginning. Some songs you already know, and some songs you haven’t heard yet.”
The Berklee-trained musician noted that the New York shows will kick off in late September, followed by Los Angeles in October, with two performances scheduled each night.
“2015 was the last time I did a show like this, so, I’m so excited to be doing this again. I can’t wait to see you all,” he added.
Tickets will be available through an artist presale on Wednesday, September 10, at 10 a.m. local time, with general sales beginning Friday, September 12, at 10 a.m. local time.
Fans can register for presale access at "WhateversClever.world."
