Meghan Markle responds to 'With Love, Meghan' ratings blow: 'Not perfect'
The Duchess of Sussex admits her show is 'not perfect' but 'real' as Netflix delivers her a huge blow
Meghan Markle isn’t one to shy away from her failures.
On September 3, it was revealed that season two of the lifestyle and cooking series With Love, Meghan seemingly lost nearly half a million viewers as it failed to crack Netflix’s most popular show list. But instead of feeling defeated, the Duchess of Sussex took to her Instagram just hours later to spotlight her biggest fails from the new season.
“This seasons’ motto - espresso yourself,” the 44-year-old captioned the post, adding a winky-face emoji.
The clip opened with Meghan pulling open a kitchen drawer, only to quickly wave the camera away when the clutter inside proved less than camera-ready. In another scene, a plant pot betrayed her as water spilled from “an enormous crack along the entire side.”
She also laughed off a juicing mishap, realising too late that she had placed her glass under the pulp spout instead of the juice.
“We’re not going for perfect, we’re going for real!” she exclaimed.
The new blooper reel comes just hours after Netflix released its top 10 most watched shows list for the week of August 25-31 (With Love, Meghan, season two premiered on August 26).
At the same time, Forbes reported that With Love, Meghan season two may have shed as many as 500,000 viewers compared to its March premiere season.
