London Jubilee line hit by second day of delays
Commuters are facing a second day of chaos on the Jubilee line due to a defected railway vehicle
Commuters are facing a second day of chaos on the Jubilee line. A faulty train at Waterloo has caused a partial suspension of service and a spillover effect of delays across the entire line.
Trains are now running between London Bridge and Green Park, but severe delays are plaguing the entire route.
However, several videos were circulating on social media showing passengers being escorted through tunnels of the Jubilee line to make it to the platform of a station.
Tickets are being accepted on several other London transportation services as a result of the Jubilee line delays.
Passengers can use their existing tickets which are accepted on London Buses, Elizabeth line, DLR and Southeastern services in the meantime.
Due to a track fault at South Kensington, there are severe delays on the Piccadilly line in London.
The delays are affecting two sections:
- Between Acton Town and Arnos Grove
- Between Acton Town and Heathrow Terminals
Keeping in view the current situation, Transport for London (TFL) said that this was due to a train incident, followed by a subsequent faulty train at Waterloo.
TFL released a statement, “We apologize to Jubilee line customers who were held on a faulty train yesterday evening and to those customers whose journeys have been disrupted by this incident which involved the incident train and an additional faulty train.”
