Meghan Trainor brushed off negative comments about her weight with confidence

Meghan Trainor isn't letting critics get to her.

The singer took part in the viral Nicki Minaj Challenge on TikTok, where she balanced on her toes in a weight room. While she didn't wear stilettos like the challenge typically requires, Trainor still managed to impress her followers.

However, not everyone was kind, with some users commenting on her weight loss.

One user wrote, "I didn’t even recognize her..?" echoing sentiments from others who seemed surprised by her new look.

Trainor responded with a cheeky video lip-syncing to Megan Thee Stallion's audio, "I don’t care if these bitches don’t like me. ‘Cuz like I’m pretty as f---. Just the other day, I heard a hoe say, matter of fact what could a hoe say with a face like this and bitch this paid."

She captioned the video, "Glam team really did that @Danyul Brown @eros @hairbyiggy #megantheestallion."

Some users speculated about Trainor's weight loss, mentioning her use of GLP-1 injectable tirzepatide, known by its brand name Mounjaro.

One user commented, "GLP-1 in the house!!" Another user expressed sadness, saying, "This makes me so sad. I miss the bass." Trainor has been open about using Mounjaro to aid her weight loss journey after her second pregnancy.

The Mother singer revealed in March that she started taking Mounjaro after welcoming her second child with husband Daryl Sabara.

At Billboard's 2025 Women in Music Awards, she shared that she's worked with a dietician, made lifestyle changes, and has a trainer. "I’ve been on a journey to be the healthiest, strongest version of myself for my kids and for me," she said.

"Yes, I used science and support (shoutout to Mounjaro!) to help me after my 2nd pregnancy. And I’m so glad I did because I feel great."

She emphasised the importance of putting in the work alongside medication. On her podcast, Workin’ On It, she and Sabara discussed their healthy lifestyle habits.

"We were like, ‘We have to make sure we don’t lose muscle that we worked so hard gaining all those years,’" she said. "We stay in the gym, we work out, we eat right, and we just noticed that we were less hungry."

Trainor added that she has "no shame" being on Mounjaro, but admitted to being hurt by criticism surrounding her weight loss.
