Demi Lovato shifts gears with new single 'Fast'

Demi Lovato is back in the spotlight with her latest single Fast, a high-energy dance track that marks her return to the pop music genre. 

The song, which dropped on August 1, 2025, is the first single from her upcoming ninth studio album, executive-produced by Zhone, known for collaborations with Kesha, Troye Sivan, and Charli XCX.

The music video for Fast features Lovato strutting through vibrant city streets, performing her new hit. With lyrics like "I wanna go fast / I wanna go hard / I wanna go anywhere, anywhere you are," the song is expected to be a summer anthem. 

This release signifies a notable shift in Lovato's music style, following her previous rock albums Holy Fvck and Revamped.

The doc features interviews with notable former child stars like Drew Barrymore, JoJo Siwa, and Christina Ricci. Lovato recently tied the knot with Jordan "Jutes" Luts earlier this year.

Fans have been eagerly waiting for Lovato's return to pop, and the announcement has sparked excitement across social media.
