Pamela Anderson hasn't ‘experienced’ anything like Liam Neeson before
Pamela Anderson talks about Liam Neeson’s influence on her in ‘The Naked Gun’
Pamela Anderson is embracing a new chapter in her career, and she’s giving Liam Neeson a lot of credit for helping her get there.
In a recent interview with The New York Times published on July 31, the 58-year-old actress opened up about her experience filming the upcoming action-comedy The Naked Gun, and how Neeson played a major role in building her confidence on set.
“He has so much charm and so much charisma that you kind of just fall into it,” Anderson said, reflecting on their time together during filming. “I can’t explain it because I’ve never experienced it before.”
Having spent much of her career being typecast as a sex symbol, Anderson admitted she often questioned whether comedy was something she could truly pull off.
But Neeson’s calm and encouraging presence helped shift that mindset.
“You’re doing great,” he would simply tell her in moments of self-doubt, words that seemed to make a lasting impact.
Anderson shared that working on a comedy project brought a fresh, energizing spirit into her life.
“To do comedy, it gives you a lot of energy when you’re in something so joyful and silly,” she explained. “Liam has done over 100 movies, and I hope he’s inspired to do even more.”
As it turns out, their onscreen chemistry has carried over into real life.
A source confirmed to Us Weekly that Anderson and Neeson are dating after meeting on the set of The Naked Gun, in which they play Detective Frank Drebin Jr. and Beth Davenport.
According to the insider, the pair had natural chemistry during filming, and their friendship eventually grew into something more.
Though their relationship is still fresh, they are taking things slowly and figuring it out together, especially now that they’re busy promoting their film.
“They are both shy and have tried to stay private but the spark between them is obvious,” the source shared.
Their connection was on full display at the film’s U.K. premiere on July 22. The two were seen holding hands and smiling on the red carpet, with Anderson even planting a sweet kiss on Neeson’s cheek, a quiet but meaningful moment that spoke volumes.
