'Harry Potter' reboot fans get first look of crucial scene
First look of 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone' major scene released
The upcoming Harry Potter reboot TV series first behind-the-scenes images have been released.
The newly leaked off-screen photos are seemingly from the set of London Zoo to film Dudley Dursley birthday scene, where the 11-year-old Harry show subtle signs of being a wizard and has a surprising conversation with the zoo snake.
After waiting for almost two years since the announcement of Wizarding World return on-screens, the new images sent fans wild over the 90s era accuracy.
Fans expressed their excitement on Reddit.
One commented, "My first thought was how hard they went in on the 90s vibe! I am so here for it."
They added, "I was worried the series would modernise the franchise, but seeing this feels like it is going to be so nostalgic for many reasons!"
"It's so aggressively 90s I LOVE IT! PETUNIA GIVES OFF SUCH KAREN VIBES as she rightly should," another observed.
"Yup they look more 90's middle class over the posh 1950's like styling of the movies, which feels a lot more realistic and lived in. I love it," agreed a third user.
One fan praised the decision to maintain the 90's setting, commenting, "Absolutely the right choice to stick to the 90's, a true upgrade to the people who say this show is a useless remake."
"The 90's setting was completely abandoned in the movies but it actually important to the story," while another chimed in.
The announcement of series officially going under-production was made by the streaming platform HBO on July 15, alongside picture of Dominic McLaughlin in Harry Potter's Hogwarts uniform.
The Harry Potter TV series is set to premiere somewhere in 2027.
