Prince Edward and Duchess Sophie's sincere efforts in strengthening King Charles' reign are finally paying off.

Popularly known as key assets of the royal family, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh were given important tasks by King Charles after royal experts urged the monarch to let the Edinburghs shine more.

Recently, the monarch's youngest brother, Edward, successfully completed a multi-day Canada tour, a country which holds a special place in Charles' heart.

The Duke of Edinburgh marked Canada Day in Ottawa and performed a series of royal engagements.

During a celebratory ceremony, Edward also read the King's personal message, saying, "I also bring you Their Majesties’ greetings on this day."

"They send you their very best wishes, and they do want to say thank you for the wonderful welcome that they received just a few weeks ago when they were here."

On the other hand, the graceful Duchess Sophie, who stepped up since King Charles and Princess Kate's cancer diagnosis, is making it to the headlines for her back-to-back royal outings.

According to the fresh reports, the monarch has chosen Sophie for an important overseas tour.

Hello! Magazine shared that Buckingham Palace has confirmed that the Duchess of Edinburgh "will carry out a three-day visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina from July 10 to July 12." The foreign trip will "coincide with the 30th anniversary of the Srebrenica Genocide."

It has been said that the couple has a bright future in the royal fold as the future King Prince William has "major" plans for his uncle and aunt.

An insider told The Sunday Times that the Prince of Wales is "eager" for the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh to "play a more prominent role in public life."
